Zertus UK & Ireland is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Executive Assistant to support our Board of Directors. This is a key role for someone who is not only passionately organised but also highly confident in using technology to drive efficiency. We’re looking for someone who embraces innovation, with a strong interest or experience in using AI tools and digital alternatives to enhance day-to-day tasks.

 

The successful candidate will be trusted with sensitive and financial information, so discretion, personal integrity, and trustworthiness are absolutely essential. Position type: Full time, permanent

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:30 (37.5 hours per week)

Pay range: £28,000 - £30,000 

Location: Home based in the North/West Yorkshire area, local to our Sherburn-in-Elmet manufacturing site. Travel to our UK & Ireland manufacturing sites and offices may be required. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide confidential administrative support to the Board of Directors
  • Organise and book UK and international travel and accommodation
  • Plan and coordinate events, conferences, and off-site meetings
  • Manage diaries, including meetings, travel itineraries, and logistics
  • Prepare presentations and complex spreadsheets
  • Collate receipts and submit expenses
  • Set agendas and take minutes for key meetings
  • Handle sensitive and financial information with discretion
  • Support with key tasks, deadlines, and ad-hoc business projects
  • Respond to emails and phone calls professionally
  • Carry out general administrative duties including scanning, copying, and filing

Qualifications

  • Passionately organised.

  • Good written and verbal communication.
  • Confidential nature due to exposure to sensitive and financial data.
  • Meticulous at planning.
  • Able to support change, influence and build relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to work flexibly to support business needs as required.
  • Able to demonstrate evidence of problem solving.
  • Good level of numerical and analytical skill.
  • Competent using computer-based packages, Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Proven experience coordinating/assisting.
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skill with the ability to prioritise/multitask.
  • Able to work on own initiative.
  • Proactive approach to work and generating ideas-challenges the status quo, suggests new ideas/processes of working.
  • Previous experience in similar role within fast paced FMCG.
  • Experience of using One Note, Publisher and Team Viewer.
  • Preference for a strong interest or experience in working on / with AI alternatives to support day-to-day tasks.
